REGULAR EXERCISE BEFORE PREGNANCY PREVENT PREGNANCY-RELATED BACK PAIN

Women who maintain regular physical activity prior to pregnancy are significantly less likely to suffer from low-back pain and pelvic pain during pregnancy. These results are from an inquiry of 891 expectant mothers in Sweden.

The study also found that pregnant women with “mainly active” or “physically demanding” occupations also had a lower risk of low-back pain and pelvic pain.
